David Meek

David is a highly capable commercial professional with experience across the board from developing strategic contract frameworks to achieve business objectives through to delivery of major projects in excess of £100 million.

He is a negotiator at the highest level with excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to motivate and direct large teams.

David joined initiate Consulting with over 30 years experience in the construction industry, much of this at senior level within the rail sector. This includes major building and civil engineering projects, building refurbishments, IT projects and marine projects.

Past responsibilities as a Director of Railtrack Plc reporting to a Plc Board include the annual procurement budget (c £2.0 billion), the corporate risk management portfolio and the execution of due diligence on a project portfolio exceeding £10 billion. He has had single point responsibility to the Board for the successful delivery of an individual project exceeding £500 million.
