David has over 20 years experience in professional consultancy working in commercial development, construction, automotive manufacturing, power and rail infrastructure. He has represented corporate organisations at senior level and provided strategic support to key Clients.

He established initiate Consulting to focus on his key interest of project success by offering a specific service to clients in the front-end strategic development of major projects and programmes of work. He has worked closely with his colleagues in bringing together a number of different skills sets that complement the development cycle.

The business is carving out a niche in the market for itself and the initiate brand name is becoming synonymous with the development process.

David's interests focus on creating the right environment for delivery of successful projects. During his academic research into the success rates of major projects, it became apparent that many failed on a regular basis and that there were a number of consistent reasons for this, which he has explored with a number of key Clients.

The pre-inception and inception phases of projects were critical in getting the process right. Focusing his personal development on improving these phases, David has analysed the development process in detail and established core skills and areas of expertise within the business to meet the challenges facing the modern Client.
